Pets

Among all the Animals, the animals that can be invited to live with the Player in their home are Pets.

Pets are tamed in the same way as all other animals.

Once the Player has a Small Hut they will be able to invite a tamed Pet animal to live with them. A Medium or larger hut will allow the player to have 2 total Pets living with them.

Pet Interactions

When interacting with a pet there are some familiar interaction options such as: Talk to a Pet, which gives a daily boost in relationship, and the Check interaction which shows the relationship level with the Pet, and also has an "Options" button to Rename or Release a pet, just like the Player can do with any Barn Animal. However, there are some unique interactions that only work for Pets:

The Pet interaction has the Player interact with their Pet in a cute animation that is unique for each animal type. The Pet interaction can be done as soon as the animal is tamed at a relationship level of 2 hearts.

The Follow interaction, which can be used from reaching 4 hearts with your pet, will have the Pet follow the Player around until the Player interacts again to select the Pet to stop following.

The Gift interaction is only available when the Player is holding an item that is an acceptable gift with their Pet.

Gifting Pet Animals

For Pet Animals, (those living with the Player, not living with the Player but still tamed by the Player, or Okka’s wolves) , if the Player is holding a gift-able item and interacts with that animal, the Gift icon will appear in the interaction menu. Certain items can be gifted to any Pet, and some certain items are only gift-able to certain Animal types.

Note: Pet animals can not be gifted items when the “Follow” interaction is active. Have the animal un-follow you before trying to gift items. Also, Pets can only be gifted once a day, and maximum 2 times per in-game week.
