Character Creation[]
The character creation screen allows you to design and name your player character sprite. Players do not pick a gender for their character, and instead pick one of three body types.

After character creation, the player can change their name, freely switch between the starting clothing items (clothing, footwear, and hat) and customize the color of their clothing in the "You" tab of the Inventory menu.
Other character customization options can be changed after character creation by going to Jukk and later by exchanging for an obsidian mirror.
When creating your character, you can customize:

Your First Day[]
When you wake up on the first day of spring, your grandparents greet you and show you the Northern Field. Igrork suggests that you harvest and try to grow wild seeds, starting the quest The First to Farm.
As you explore the village and begin talking to villagers, you gather more information on your upcoming Rite of Passage.
Your first day in the village has several unique opportunities:
- You can play a game of Bones with Tetih to receive a Stone Box.
- You can receive three Tomato Seeds from Ada.
- You can receive three Carrot Seeds from Garrek.
- You can receive ten Plant Fiber from Acre.
- You can receive a Pomegranate from Nokk.
- You can receive a Red Meat from Okka.
- You can receive a Birkenia from Frer.
- You can receive a Traveling Cake by talking to all villagers and completing the Rite of Passage quest.
These gifts are only available to claim on the first day, before your Rite of Passage.
Belt[]
The player has access to a tool belt with three sections: seeds, tools, and inventory.
In the seed section, you can access your Clan's store of seeds, collected by you, the player. This section of your belt can be rapidly accessed by clicking [1].
In the tool section, you can access your tools. This section of your belt can be rapidly accessed by clicking [2]. You begin the game with a torch, a handaxe, and a waterskin.
The inventory section of your belt contains the various items that you find in the world, including herbs, fish, and crafting materials. Seeds and tools are not stored in your main inventory. The inventory belt contains eight slots, and can be upgraded twice, by purchasing upgraded belts from Jizu, with contribution. Each upgrade adds another eight slots, up to a maximum of 24. The items in your inventory each correspond to a keyboard number between [3] and [0] for rapid access.
