I'm starting a run where i give everyone only Quinoa's for a challenge, but I gave one to Croll and he seemed to react with a dislike or a hate reaction? It's not on the wiki so I'm abit confused
What's on your mind?

I have completed all prophecies except "they explored the culinary arts the southern clan shared with them". I have a full bar of friendship flowers with Vallah, and half bars with the others in the clan. I've cooked rye bread in the clay oven. I've cooked lentil pie and smorrebrod (and about 40 other dishes). I've completed every single prophecy, except this one. Lately, I've been trading and chatting with all members of the Mograni Clan just to see if something will change. I've been through a whole year. Nothing changed. Did the game glitch? Did I miss something? Suggestions?

So having read a few different walkthroughs and seen the pictures, I'm supposed to chop the roots and then I should be able to go through the doorway behind them... but it's really just a big crack in the rocks not a whole doorway and doesn't look like the opening in other players screenshots... help!

EDIT: I am going to take this time to make the separate pages much like Cemblack did with Vinegar so that the processors lead to other group pages. I will be working on this over the weekend.
So... The QOL Update changed so much in terms of Contribution and Processors. The user Rezecib found a multiplier for the different qualities for most if not all of the processors, however since the base product has changed as well, using them to find the new qualities is near impossible. So I'm asking for help in trying to update the many, many, many pages that now have outdated Contribution numbers.
Pages that need updated:
Brewer
Cask
Cheese Cloth
Fermenter
Mortar and Pestle
Pickler
Press
Smoker
Solar Dryer
Vinegar Fermenter
Fish (Possibly?)
So with that updated information, it would also require every harvest page to be updated. Several of the harvest pages still have to change to the new way we're setting things up. Until we get the updated numbers, it would be a bit of a waste to update the pages only to have to go back to fill in the tables.
On a side note, but it is related.... There is a small chance that they removed the ability to get Wild Good items. There's a line in the changelog that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but if that is the case, the tables will be updated as well.
Thank you in advance!
I've spent more time than I'd like to know working on the page Exchange.
It is currently categorized under Game Mechanics, but I would like to request to this Wiki's Admins Team if you would make it part of the official Wiki Menu bar.
To explain what this page is:
Once I started playing Roots of Pacha, I desperately wanted just one place where I could see all the characters with an option for Exchange, and all the items available in their Exchange options.
Such a page did not exist anywhere on the internet. And so that's when I made a Wiki account here and began my work on creating the Exchange page.
It's been many weeks of gathering images and editing them, tirelessly tracking what options were available and how, as well as keeping track of the fluctuating range of Contribution Points it costs in certain Exchange menus... (-cough-Tare,Grob,Ada..-cough-)
It's taken many edits, re-writes, and research to construct the best informative page with a clear layout for the deeeeeep well of information and images that the Exchange article needed.
As I worked on building up the article, I had to create entirely new categories and fill them up with well-over a hundred new pages of Clothing and Furniture.
(Those will be on-going projects as I only have all the items available from start of game and will continue to in the very near future finish updating for more items requiring game progression)
As for everything else, I have done and will continue to do more work to fix up the pages already existing for many of the items I reference in Exchange.
-You can see all the work I did already to fix all the Medicinals pages including making each article's page a uniform clean page with more information than ever existed on the Wiki for each of them.
So.... For all this time,
I couldn't be prouder to announce that the article on Exchange is ready to be mass-viewed and referenced.
I hope it will be as appreciated~
The Press is missing a place to put fruit, seeds, etc. please fix this. It’s useless as it is now.
Hello, @PiPolaris has contacted me to set up a wiki gallery share with the Portuguese Roots of Pacha Wiki
https://rootsofpacha.fandom.com/pt-br/wiki/Roots_of_Pacha_Wiki
The wikis are now linked, and we can use interlanguage links now between the 2 wikis.
The wiki is in its infancy.
There has been an increase in uploading duplications of the same image, with a different file name.
Please use the "Upload a new version of this file" within the existing image file that you are replacing and do not create a new separate image file for each upload.
Creating duplicates like this will require moving and/or deleting by those with Admin access. Please consider your image file uploads and search prior to adding new images.
Kind regards
Cemblack
Edit - if examples are required please respond. Thank you.
So many pages have unfortunate thumbnails representing them. Specifically,
I recently created the category for Clothing and have been doing all of the clothing Jizu offers in Exchange. but when I made the pages for the clothing, none of them had thumbnails. And that's because the images I uploaded are too small.
There is super helpful Fandom blog by 'Kirkburn' who explains:
"" The image chosen is generally the first image on the page that satisfies these criteria:
Larger than 130px by 115px for use on category pages, larger than 200px by 100px for the related pages module. Note: the size on the 'File:' page is what counts, not how it displays on the page.
Used 10 times or fewer in content namespaces on the wiki
One of the first 50 used on the page
Not an SVG
""
So from here on out, I will go back and update the original image sizes and re-upload them as (original file name)_Resized.
As long as the original image file meets the sizing standard then they will appear as the thumbnail if they are the first image on the page meeting the sizing requirements.
Best of luck everyone else.
Hi everyone and thank you so much for all your hard work so far. I was taking a look at the Cask products (Aged and Mulled Wines) and checking the in-game syntax. It appears to be:
Aged X Wine
X Mulled Wine
The table in the Aged Wine section of the Cask page just has "Aged X" should "wine" be slapped onto the end for clarity?
I didn't check the cheeses because I didn't have any on me at the time.
I'm Zoe#3571 on Discord if you want to chat to make it easier than commenting on this post
Cheers!
This wiki requires a change with colours due to having insufficient contrast ratios.
I can muck around a little with this so that it complies and later we can discuss further if people provide suggestions or feedback. Thank you.
Hello fellow Pachans, admin access has been granted to myself and @MaidenHecate .
Please advise what you would like to see in the Top Navigation. 🙂
Edit : in the meantime I've made some changes.
Hi everyone, just as the title says, in this wiki we should use the word Plants instead of Crops, just like how it is shown in-game.
The two words are synonyms but we should still follow how the game shows it. As far as I know, the word "Crops" appears in one dialogue only in-game and the developers used it as well at the beginning on Kickstarter but later on changed it to Plants exclusively.
Another word used to refer to crops is simply Harvests.
And the Plants category includes Harvests and Trees as well.
HOWEVER: if most users still want to use the word Crops, it should be stated explicitly and added later to the Manual of Style.
Hello, in regards to the px size when creating images of the sprites (icons/items), I am suggesting that we choose a standard size of perhaps 88x88px, as that seems a popular size that I've seen or another size?
This is helpful when displaying the images on an article page when using the templates (such as {{Name| ) - all images would appear to be the same size.
Not all topics will be needed to be this size- things like crops, dishes, trees etc
Thoughts?
I motion we delete pages for wild item variants e.g. Wild Carrot.
The Carrot page already has information about the wild variant.
Links can labelled "Wild Carrot" when the wild type is being referred to, but point to the "Carrot" page.
Some crop pages e.g. Carrot have a "Cooking" section that includes copies of relevant rows from the Cooking page. This is useful for the player, but requires propagating changes to multiple pages. It also significantly increases business of the page.
Does anyone else share my opinion that the crop pages should instead have a simple comma-separated list of dishes? I find that this matches player use cases better. Those who are looking to compare dishes will view the Cooking page. Those who are looking for general information about a crop will see its dishes, and can click on any of interest to learn more.
I welcome feedback from more experienced Wiki folks. I'm newer at this.
Hello! Super happy to be helping out.
Organisation: There seems to be a "Boar" and "Wild Boar" page. Which one should we be using/updating? I updated Wild Boar simply because it had more information than Boar (was empty at time of posting this). One of them should be removed to prevent confusion.
Suggestion: I have seen the gifting page, should we also have a gifting section on the actual item pages so I can look up "boar fur" and see who to give it to instead of going to the gifting page and ctrl+F? Maybe with little headshot icons for the characters?
Me again,
I would like to suggest two things;
To replace the link of mining under 'important articles' on the main page for caves. This is because caves page already has more relevant information and working links than the mining page.
To add to 'important articles' on the main page links to characters, ideas, and locations. This is because of ease of access, especially locations because that might be expanded in new game updates.
This would just be to ensure that visitors need to search all through the wiki for relevent pages, and so that wiki editors don't put the same info on different pages.
